I met with my mentor detective Sauters for the first time he is a detective at the clarke county police department in the unit robbery/homicide he is a Sargent detective. On this day i met all the people in the criminal investigations unit including Captain Clarence Holeman one of Athens very known Police officers i also met the assistant cheif he was very nice and laid back. During my 2 hours their we went over the in and outs of being a homicide detective and what is needed and how much time would need to be on the streets in order to become a detective the interesting thing about becoming a detective is that it is known to be a male dominant field and most women are not interested in stuff like that so when a woman applies to become a police if hired she will only need to spen 3- 6 months on the streets then she will be promoted to criminal investigations. I alsom met with Kim johnson she is used to be a homicide investigator but no longer works as one but she still works in criminal investigations. I also applied for a job as a dispatcher working during the summer to get some time under my belt so when i do apply for the job i will have some previous experience. The first day we just talked about my career goals and he told me about his job.

in this next chapter malcom starts working as the dishwasher on a traint hat goes to new york and different places and when he was in new york he didn't know how to act because he was so wild because he wasn't used to being that far from home and some other people on the train told him he should go and explore the town so when he was exploring the town he noticed that the black people in new york was very respectful about how they act even wehn they were drinking this being said because when he was at a bar he noticed that the blacks were not loud and out of control they just drunk their drinks and didn't bother anybody, th en malcom started going to the bar everynight and drinking and going to work drunk so the customers started complaining about how malcom was very disrespectful to them and no night it was this white soldier ont he train who was drunka nd he had got up in malcom's face and said that he wanted to fight him but malcom said you got on to many clothes to fight me so the man removed his coat and malcom kept telling him to keep taking off his clothes until he was naked so the customers had wrote a letter complaining about malcoms actions and he was fired.

In this next chapter malcom quit his job as a show shining boy and his sister ella found him a job working in a drug store as a fountain boy malcom didn't like the job because all the hill people that came in the stor ehe felt like they thought they were better then everybody, he didn't like how they talk or how they acted and he really couldn't stand working there he worked a 8-hour shift everyday and he hated it. After a couple of weeks passed a girl named laura began coming into the store from the first time he saw her he liked her because she didn't act like the other hill kids everytime she came in the store she would order a banana split so each day around the same time malcom woukd make her a banana split he then struck up a conversation with her and found out she was a junior in highschool living with her grandma who was going to college to major in science she was also good at math so for the next couple of weeks laura would come in and talk to malcom about different things so malcom invited her to a dance in roxbury and she was so excited because she had never went but she would have to lie to her grandma because if not she would not be allowed to go after the first dance laura asked malcom to tske her to another dance and he did but at that dance malcom met a white girl name sophia and he just forgot all about laura so laura stopped speaking to malcom and after graduating from highschool she got on drugs, started prostituting and later became a lesbian, malcom and sophia were soon dating seen all around town and malcom's sister ella found out about it and called him a viper so malcom moved out ant into the house with shorty and sophia paid malcom's share of the rent. Malcom felt that all of laura's wrong doing was because of him....... leaving her for a white girl.

In the next chapter of malcom x he goes into the poorer side of town to try and make friends their because his sister wanted him to start interacting with other kids his age so when he went into the poorer side of town he noticed a pool hall so he stuck in one night and he noticed a man who arranged the balls for the customers so he started a conversation with the man and he found out that the man hisself was also from lansing so they bacame friends and started hanging out so shorty asked him if he had a job and malcom said so so he got malcom a job shining shoes so once he started working their he met a new man......... who turned him on to selling condoms to people on the street. Once malcom told his sister ella about his shoe shining job she didn't agree with him she felt that he could find a better job closer to home but malcom didn't want to listen. Malcom told dhorty that he needed some new clothes but he would have to save up because he didn't have any money shorty told malcom that he could credit some clothes from one of his friends, the man who malcom credited the clothes from picked him out a blue suit with a matching hat and a long gold chain after he received the outfit shorty told him that he should perm his hair and malcom agreed and after he permed his hair he felt like he was trying to impersonate a white man because his car was so straight.

In the next chapter of the book malcom seems to get in trouble so he goes to live with the gohannas and when he goes to live with them he starts going to church and he starts to steal stuff....... later on in the summer his sister comes to visit him and all of them go to visit their paretns and they felt that was a good experience because he had someone to comfort him so in the summer he went to visit his sister and he liked it so much the next summer he went to live with her.............

This book is about a boy name malcom who is born in the days of slavery. He is telling a story of his life and how hard it was for them to grow up during those days. In the book he talked alot aobut his father and he told how his father was a preacher and how marcus garvery beleived that all black people should get on a boat and go back to africa. His father was a baptist preacher and he was always visiting churches and the people in lansing where they lived did not approve of his father doing that and he was warned that he needed to stop so one night malcom's father and his mother were in a argument and he left once he left malcom's mother had a vision that her husband wasn't going to come back so once he didn't show up the next morning she was told he had been found dead with his head bashed in and he had been laid for a train to hit him........................
